Proryska hacktivister riktar in sig på system hos Spaniens valmyndighet och nationella statistikinstitut.

Den 23 juli, dagen för Spaniens allmänna val, riktade gruppen in sig på webbplatsen för Junta Electoral Central, organet som ansvarar för att övervaka och registrera val samt för att övervaka röstningsförfaranden vid vallokaler. Den officiella webbplatsen för Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), som samlar in och publicerar data om Spaniens befolkning, ekonomi och samhälle, fanns också bland de rapporterade målen. Den dagen sågs det högsta antalet DDoS-attacker, riktade mot flera statliga webbplatser samt biljettjänster online för kollektivtrafik i hela landet.

On July 23, the day of Spain’s general elections, the group targeted the website of the Junta Electoral Central, the body responsible for overseeing and registering elections and supervising voting procedures at polling stations. The official website of the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), which collects and publishes data on Spain’s population, economy, and society, was also among the reported targets.
