Unidentified drones reported over the Port of Antwerp during Belgium’s wider wave of suspicious drone activity.
On the evening of 6 November 2025, unidentified drones were reported over the Port of Antwerp, one of Belgium’s principal pieces of critical economic and maritime infrastructure. Contemporary reporting on 7 November, including coverage citing Belgian broadcaster VRT, placed the Antwerp-port observations alongside renewed drone incidents at Brussels and Liège airports and other sensitive Belgian sites. Public reporting does not provide a reliable number of drones, exact observation time, altitude, model, launch location or detailed flight path, and there is no indication that port operations or shipping traffic were suspended. Identification is additionally complicated by the fact that the Port of Antwerp-Bruges itself operates an authorised network of six autonomous drones conducting up to 18 BVLOS flights per day for inspections, monitoring and security support.
