Flight from Helsinki to Tartu forced to turn around due to GPS interference.
On 25 April 2024, the first of two Finnair flights from Helsinki to Tartu, Estonia, was unable to land because of GPS interference and had to return to Helsinki Airport. The flight departed around midnight on Thursday and turned back when the aircraft could not safely complete its approach to Tartu, where landing procedures require GPS signals and there is no alternative navigation system available.
