Unidentified drones reportedly surveil Heide oil refinery in Schleswig-Holstein.

During the night of 25–26 September 2025, unidentified aerial objects were reported over several sites in Schleswig-Holstein, including critical infrastructure and military facilities. Reporting based on an internal German security memorandum stated that, after initial sightings over the TKMS naval shipyard in Kiel, additional drone formations were observed over the University Medical Center Kiel, a power facility, the Kiel Canal and the Kiel Fjord; the same broader activity reportedly included an overflight or surveillance of the Heide oil refinery at Hemmingstedt.
