Intensified jamming attempts observed in Eastern Finland.

In early March 2022, major GPS signal disruptions were reported across eastern Finland, beginning around March 5–6 and continuing for several days, with more than 10 incidents reported by aircraft. The disruptions affected aviation operations and prompted Fintraffic Air Navigation to issue a NOTAM warning pilots; on March 8, an aircraft was reportedly unable to land at Savonlinna Airport, leading an airline to cancel regional flights between Helsinki and Savonlinna. Finland’s Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) said it did not know the source of the interference and was investigating, while noting that aircraft could safely operate using alternative navigation systems.
