Key electricity distributor in Romania affected by a Pro-Russian cyber attack.

One of Romania’s most important energy services companies, Electrica Group, on 9th of december 2024 was under a cyberattack. Team of specialists were working closely with national cybersecurity authorities to manage and resolve the incident. Critical systems have not been affected, and any disruptions in interaction with consumers were the results of protective measures. Experts state that it could’ve been a pro-Russian hacker group that conducted the cyberattack because of last weeks annulled presidential election over Russian interference.
