Five to six drones reportedly operate inside the no-fly zone around Brønnøysund Airport, forcing flight diversion and temporary disruption.

On the evening of 28 September 2025, Avinor notified police of drone activity inside the prohibited flight zone surrounding Brønnøysund Airport in Nordland. The first report was received at approximately 20:30. A police patrol responding to the incident subsequently observed several aerial objects itself and continued tracking them until they disappeared from view. Police prosecutor Torbjørn Sandbu later stated that five to six apparent drones were counted at one point: some appeared to remain stationary above the airport while others moved at varying speeds. Video footage existed, although it had been recorded from a considerable distance and was of poor quality.
