Pro-Russian hacktivists attack Finnish government systems ahead of presidential elections.
On January 25, the pro-Russian hacktivist group NoName057(16) (also known as NoName) claimed responsibility for DDoS attacks targeting the websites of three Finnish government institutions and one Finnish presidential candidate, just days before the country’s January 28, 2024 presidential election. To support its claims, the group shared a link to a web performance-monitoring service through its Telegram channel, along with a screenshot purportedly showing that the targeted websites were inaccessible.
