Caças finlandeses, suecos e da NATO identificam grande formação militar russa sobre o Golfo da Finlândia

Em 24 de setembro de 2026, aeronaves da Quick Reaction Alert da NATO e dos países nórdicos intercetaram uma formação russa relativamente grande que atravessava espaço aéreo internacional de Kaliningrado em direção à Rússia continental. O Ministério da Defesa Nacional da Lituânia identifica a formação como três MiG-31, um Tu-134, um Su-30SM e três Su-30M2, ou seja, oito aeronaves no total. Nenhuma tinha apresentado plano de voo e todas tinham os transponders de bordo desligados; apenas o Tu-134 mantinha comunicação por rádio com o controlo de tráfego aéreo regional. F/A-18 Hornet finlandeses e JAS 39 Gripen suecos participaram na identificação sobre o Golfo da Finlândia, marcando a primeira missão operacional conjunta de identificação das forças aéreas finlandesa e sueca. As Forças Armadas suecas confirmaram independentemente que a formação russa incluía uma aeronave de transporte Tu-134, caças MiG-31 e caças Su-30 e que permaneceu em espaço aéreo internacional.

    On 24 September 2026, NATO and Nordic Quick Reaction Alert aircraft intercepted a comparatively large Russian formation travelling through international airspace from Kaliningrad toward mainland Russia. Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence identifies the formation as three MiG-31s, one Tu-134, one Su-30SM and three Su-30M2 aircraft, or eight aircraft in total. None had pre-filed flight plans and all had their onboard transponders switched off; only the Tu-134 maintained radio communication with regional air-traffic control. Finnish F/A-18 Hornets and Swedish JAS 39 Gripens participated in the identification over the Gulf of Finland, marking the first joint operational identification mission by the Finnish and Swedish air forces. The Swedish Armed Forces independently confirmed that the Russian formation included a Tu-134 transport aircraft, MiG-31 fighters and Su-30 fighters and that it remained in international airspace.
