Ongeïdentificeerd luchtobject schendt Moldavisch luchtruim nabij Dnestrovsk
Op 30 augustus 2026 detecteerde het Nationale Leger van Moldavië een ongeïdentificeerd luchtobject dat het Moldavische luchtruim binnendrong vanuit de Oekraïense regio Odessa tijdens Russische luchtaanvallen op Oekraïens grondgebied. Volgens het Ministerie van Defensie stak het object de grens over rond 15:50 nabij Dnestrovsk in de regio Transnistrië, afkomstig uit de richting van Lymanske, Oekraïne. Het bleef ongeveer negen minuten in het Moldavische luchtruim voordat het om 15:59 via dezelfde route naar Oekraïne terugkeerde. De Moldavische autoriteiten bevestigden de ongeoorloofde overvlucht en verklaarden dat deze plaatsvond als gevolg van de aanhoudende Russische luchtaanvallen op Oekraïne. Nationale defensiestructuren bleven het luchtruim van het land monitoren in samenwerking met internationale partners. De autoriteiten identificeerden het object niet publiekelijk als drone of raket, stelden de operator ervan niet vast en meldden geen inslag, slachtoffers of fysieke schade op Moldavisch grondgebied.

On 30 August 2026, Moldova’s National Army detected an unidentified aerial object entering Moldovan airspace from Ukraine’s Odesa region during Russian airstrikes against Ukrainian territory. According to the Ministry of Defence, the object crossed the border at approximately 15:50 near Dnestrovsk in the Transnistrian region, arriving from the direction of Lymanske, Ukraine. It remained in Moldovan airspace for approximately nine minutes before returning to Ukraine along the same route at 15:59. Moldovan authorities confirmed the unauthorised overflight and stated that it occurred as a consequence of Russia’s ongoing aerial attacks against Ukraine. National defence structures continued monitoring the country’s airspace in cooperation with international partners. The authorities did not publicly identify the object as a drone or missile, establish its operator, or report any impact, casualties or physical damage on Moldovan territory.
