Drone explodeert nabij Camenca tijdens vier Russische drone-schendingen van Moldavisch luchtruim

Op 24 september 2026 zou een onbemand luchtvaartuig zijn geëxplodeerd nabij een conservenfabriek in Camenca op de linkeroever van de Dniester. Het incident vond plaats tijdens een ochtend waarin Moldavië meerdere gelijktijdige UAV-penetraties vanuit de richting van Oekraïne documenteerde. Moldavische autoriteiten registreerden vier drone-schendingen van het nationale luchtruim tijdens de Russische aanval. President Maia Sandu identificeerde de vier luchtvaartuigen publiekelijk als Russische drones en zei dat ten minste één was geëxplodeerd in Noord-Moldavië. Bewoners rond Vadul Rașcov en Camenca meldden krachtige explosiegeluiden tijdens dezelfde periode. Een lokale veiligheidsfunctionaris bevestigde vervolgens dat een onbemand luchtvaartuig was geëxplodeerd dicht bij de industriële faciliteit van Camenca. Het gebied werd na het incident beveiligd. Er werden publiekelijk geen slachtoffers gemeld. Omdat autoriteiten in constitutioneel Moldavië beperkte directe onderzoeks toegang hadden tot de door Transnistrië gecontroleerde crashlocatie, kreeg het individuele wrak niet hetzelfde publieke technische onderzoek als de Gerbera die nabij Cernița werd teruggevonden.

    On 24 September 2026, an unmanned aircraft reportedly exploded near a canning factory in Camenca on the left bank of the Dniester. The incident occurred during a morning in which Moldova documented multiple simultaneous UAV penetrations from the direction of Ukraine. Moldovan authorities recorded four drone violations of national airspace during the Russian attack. President Maia Sandu publicly identified the four aircraft as Russian drones and said at least one had exploded in northern Moldova. Residents around Vadul Rașcov and Camenca reported powerful explosion sounds during the same period. A local security official subsequently confirmed that an unmanned aircraft had exploded close to the Camenca industrial facility. The area was secured after the incident. No casualties were publicly reported. Because authorities in constitutional Moldova had limited direct investigative access to the Transnistrian-controlled crash site, the individual wreckage did not receive the same public technical examination as the Gerbera recovered near Cernița.
