Telekommunikasjonsmaster skadet i Norrköping kommune, Sverige.

During Easter weekend in April 2025, two telecommunications masts at separate locations in Norrköping municipality were deliberately damaged within approximately 24 hours. According to Swedish broadcaster SVT, unidentified individuals broke into electrical cabinets serving the installations, causing telecommunications interruptions affecting Åby, Simonstorp and another locality. Police confirmed that batteries and valuable metals had not been stolen, raising questions about the perpetrators’ motives. One incident was investigated by local police, while the other was assigned to the serious crimes division. Investigators examined possible connections with other attacks against telecommunications infrastructure across southern Sweden. At the time of reporting, no suspects had been identified, and authorities had not established a connection to Russia or another foreign state.
