Uidentifisert luftmål går inn i rumensk luftrom nær Chilia Veche og forsvinner nær Pardina
Natten til 26. september 2026 oppdaget rumensk militærradar et luftmål som beveget seg nær Chilia Veche langs Donaus grense mot Ukraina. Ifølge Forsvarsdepartementet gikk objektet deretter inn i det rumenske nasjonale luftrommet. Det fulgte en rute nesten parallelt med Donaus Chilia-arm i flere minutter. Radarkontakten ble til slutt mistet nær Pardina. Romania utstedte en RO-Alert-advarsel til innbyggere i nordlige Tulcea fylke kl. 23:32. To spanske F-18-jagerfly utplassert for NATOs forsterkede luftpoliti og et rumensk IAR-330 SOCAT-helikopter ble sendt opp for å overvåke inntrengningen. Alarmen endte kl. 00:48. Det rumenske departementet identifiserte ikke offentlig flyets modell eller nasjonalitet, så russisk ansvar kan ikke presenteres som bekreftet. Inntrengningen skjedde imidlertid i den samme Chilia/Izmail-korridoren som gjentatte ganger er blitt rammet av russiske enveisangrepsdroner, og innen dager etter andre Russland-tilskrevne inntrengninger på rumensk territorium. On the night of 26 September 2026, Romanian military radar detected an aerial target moving near Chilia Veche along the Danube border with Ukraine. According to the Ministry of National Defence, the object subsequently entered Romanian national airspace. It followed a route almost parallel to the Chilia branch of the Danube for several minutes. Radar contact was eventually lost near Pardina. Romania issued an RO-Alert warning to residents in northern Tulcea County at 23:32. Two Spanish F-18 fighters deployed for NATO enhanced Air Policing and a Romanian IAR-330 SOCAT helicopter were scrambled to monitor the incursion. The alert ended at 00:48. The Romanian ministry did not publicly identify the aircraft’s model or nationality, so Russian responsibility cannot be presented as confirmed. However, the entry occurred in the same Chilia/Izmail corridor repeatedly affected by Russian one-way attack drones and within days of other Russian-attributed penetrations of Romanian territory.
