On 27 August 2026, Bulgarian naval personnel investigated an unidentified object approximately eight nautical miles south of Kavarna in the Black Sea. Military specialists examined the object and determined that it was part of the tail section of an unmanned aerial vehicle. The discovery occurred during a series of responses to drifting UAVs and wreckage along Bulgaria’s coastline.
