Krievijas militārais helikopters, iespējams, pārkāpa Polijas gaisa telpu netālu no Vislas strēles

On the evening of 25 April 2025, a military helicopter belonging to Russia’s Baltic Fleet violated Polish airspace over Poland’s territorial waters in the Baltic Sea. Poland’s Armed Forces Operational Command publicly confirmed the incident the following morning. The PISM White Paper identifies the helicopter as a Ka-27 and places the incident near the Vistula Spit. It reports three unauthorised border crossings and classifies the incident as intentional. These details support recording one incident involving three crossings by the same helicopter. pism.pl According to the Operational Command’s statement, Polish military radar and civilian systems operated by the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency monitored the flight. Air-defence forces remained ready to protect Polish airspace throughout the incident. The command assessed the helicopter’s behaviour as indicating that Russia was testing the readiness of Poland’s air-defence systems. However, the initial statement reproduced by PAP did not specify the helicopter model, crossing count, duration or penetration distance, so those more detailed claims should remain explicitly attributed to PISM. The event is therefore an officially confirmed Russian military airspace violation, with an official assessment of readiness testing, rather than a reported weapons attack.
