Įtariamas sabotažas sugadinta Sopot vandens tiekimo infrastruktūra Nowe Sarnie Wzgórze giliavandenio vandens paėmimo vietoje
2025 m. liepos 15 d. vyras pateko į Sopot Nowe Sarnie Wzgórze giliavandenio vandens paėmimo vietą ir sugadino savivaldybės vandens tinklo elementus, įskaitant elektros ir valdymo įrangą, prijungtą prie vandens sistemos ir giliųjų šulinių, bei nuėmė šulinio vožtuvą. Lenkijos prokurorai pareiškė, kad žala sutrikdė dalį Sopot vandens tiekimo tinklo, ir vėliau nuostolius įvertino daugiau nei 71 000 PLN. Įtariamasis, 36 metų Ukrainos pilietis Ihor H., buvo suimtas liepos 21 d. Gov.pl Saugos sistemos automatiškai izoliavo paveiktą šulinį, neleisdamos vandeniui iš šios paėmimo vietos patekti į savivaldybės tinklą, o kiti vandens šaltiniai palaikė tiekimą gyventojams; vėlesni tyrimai nustatė, kad vanduo saugus vartoti. sopot.pl Tyrėjai taip pat nustatė, kad tas pats įtariamasis liepos 7 d. buvo sugadinęs kito Aqua-Sopot objekto, Wzgórze Trzech Gracji rezervinio rezervuaro, tvorą, taip pat elektros dėžes kitur Sopote birželio pabaigoje. Gov.pl PISM pagrindinį incidentą apibūdina kaip sužlugdytą sąmokslą, kuriuo siekta paralyžiuoti vandens paskirstymą Sopote, nors fizinė žala buvo padaryta; buvo sužlugdytas platesnis miesto vandens tiekimo sutrikdymas. Pism Lenkijos žiniasklaida pranešė, kad ABW nagrinėjo, ar elgesys galėjo būti įkvėptas Rusijos žvalgybos, tačiau ši hipotezė nebuvo viešai patvirtinta vėlesniame kaltinime ar nuosprendyje.

On 15 July 2025, a man entered the Nowe Sarnie Wzgórze deep-water intake in Sopot and damaged elements of the municipal water network, including electrical and control equipment connected to the water system and deep wells, and removed a well valve. Polish prosecutors stated that the damage disrupted part of Sopot’s water-supply network and later assessed the loss at more than PLN 71,000. The suspect, 36-year-old Ukrainian citizen Ihor H., was arrested on 21 July. Gov.pl Safety systems automatically isolated the affected well, preventing water from that intake from entering the municipal network, while other water sources maintained supplies to residents; subsequent testing found the water safe for consumption. sopot.pl Investigators also established that the same suspect had damaged the fence of another Aqua-Sopot facility, the Wzgórze Trzech Gracji reserve reservoir, on 7 July, as well as electrical boxes elsewhere in Sopot at the end of June. Gov.pl PISM characterises the principal incident as a thwarted plot intended to paralyse water distribution in Sopot, although the physical damage itself was completed; what was thwarted was the wider disruption of the city’s water supply. Pism Polish media reported that ABW examined whether the conduct could have been inspired by Russian intelligence, but this hypothesis was not publicly confirmed in the subsequent indictment or conviction.
