Accumulo di veicoli militari identificato a Sapernoye, sull'istmo careliano.

L'inchiesta congiunta SVT–NRK–DR–Delfi pubblicata il 10 giugno 2026 ha identificato Sapernoye, a circa 80 km (8 mil svedesi) dalla Finlandia, come un sito in cui venivano accumulati veicoli militari. Sapernoye si trova sull'istmo careliano, a nord di San Pietroburgo, nell'area che si affaccia sulla Finlandia sud-orientale. In reazione all'inchiesta, il comandante dell'esercito finlandese, il tenente generale Pasi Välimäki, ha dichiarato che l'infrastruttura russa vicino alla Finlandia potrebbe ospitare circa 80.000 soldati, rispetto a circa 20.000 in precedenza. Thomas Nilsson, capo del servizio di intelligence e sicurezza militare svedese (MUST), ha descritto lo sviluppo come una minaccia da prendere sul serio.

    The joint SVT–NRK–DR–Delfi investigation published on 10 June 2026 identified Sapernoye, about 80 km (8 Swedish mil) from Finland, as a site where military vehicles were being accumulated. Sapernoye is located on the Karelian Isthmus, north of St Petersburg, in the area facing south-eastern Finland. In reactions to the investigation, the commander of the Finnish Army, Lt. Gen. Pasi Välimäki, stated that Russian infrastructure near Finland could accommodate around 80,000 troops, compared with about 20,000 previously. Thomas Nilsson, head of Sweden’s Military Intelligence and Security Service (MUST), described the development as a threat to be taken seriously.
