Un drone esplosivo si schianta e detona su terreni agricoli vicino a Gropeni in Romania
Il 29 settembre 2026, le autorità rumene hanno scoperto un cratere e rottami di drone su terreni agricoli sull'Insula Mare a Brăilei vicino a Gropeni. Un residente aveva segnalato la caduta di un oggetto durante la notte, seguita da un incendio. Specialisti militari rumeni hanno successivamente confermato che i rottami provenivano da un drone. L'esame tecnico ha stabilito che l'UAV trasportava un carico esplosivo, che è detonato automaticamente quando l'aeromobile ha colpito il suolo. L'esplosione e l'incendio successivo hanno interessato solo una zona limitata di terreni agricoli e non hanno causato vittime segnalate. Il Servizio di intelligence rumeno ha raccolto i resti per ulteriori analisi tecniche. Un elicottero IAR-330 SOCAT è stato inoltre dispiegato per perlustrare l'area circostante. È importante notare che il Ministero della Difesa ha dichiarato che la sua rete radar non aveva registrato alcuna penetrazione non autorizzata nello spazio aereo durante la notte precedente. Le autorità pertanto non hanno stabilito come il drone abbia raggiunto il sito né identificato il suo operatore. Data la configurazione militare esplosiva e la sequenza insolitamente densa di incidenti UAV russi e presunti russi che hanno interessato la Romania durante settembre, il caso è appropriato come corrispondente al modello, ma con un'attribuzione più debole rispetto alle incursioni documentate dal radar il 26 e 27 settembre.

On 29 September 2026, Romanian authorities discovered a crater and drone wreckage on agricultural land on Insula Mare a Brăilei near Gropeni. A resident had reported an object falling during the night followed by a fire. Romanian military specialists subsequently confirmed that the wreckage came from a drone.
