Segnalata presunta attività di droni vicino a infrastrutture critiche a Brunsbüttel
Il primo avvistamento segnalato è avvenuto l'8 agosto vicino al ChemCoast Park di Brunsbüttel, un'area industriale adiacente a infrastrutture energetiche, tra cui un terminale GNL e una centrale nucleare dismessa. Ulteriori segnalazioni hanno portato a un'operazione di polizia e a un'indagine per sospetta attività di intelligence a fini di sabotaggio. Tuttavia, un aggiornamento ufficiale del 4 settembre ha sostanzialmente ridimensionato le segnalazioni iniziali: numerose osservazioni sospette sono state identificate come aerei, elicotteri, satelliti, luci o oggetti celesti. La polizia ha inoltre identificato alcuni droni disponibili in commercio e i loro operatori, mentre altre osservazioni sono rimaste irrisolte. Il coinvolgimento russo è stato sospettato ma mai accertato nell'indagine. Il 19 maggio 2025, i pubblici ministeri hanno confermato che il caso è stato archiviato senza identificare un autore. The first reported sighting occurred on 8 August near Brunsbüttel’s ChemCoast Park, an industrial area adjoining energy infrastructure, including an LNG terminal and a decommissioned nuclear power station. Further reports prompted a police operation and an investigation into suspected intelligence activity for sabotage purposes. However, an official update on 4 September substantially qualified the initial reporting: numerous suspicious observations were identified as aircraft, helicopters, satellites, lights or celestial objects. Police also identified some commercially available drones and their operators, while other observations remained unresolved. Russian involvement was suspected but never established in the investigation. On 19 May 2025, prosecutors confirmed that the case had been closed without identifying a perpetrator. The entry should therefore describe a series of suspected sightings, rather than a confirmed Russian reconnaissance operation or attack.
