Un IL-20 russe volait dans l’espace aérien international entre la Russie continentale et Kaliningrad.

Le 26 janvier, un détachement de police du ciel de l’OTAN a été alerté pour identifier et escorter un IL-20 russe volant dans l’espace aérien international entre la Russie continentale et Kaliningrad. Le transpondeur de bord était allumé, l’IL-20 n’avait pas de plan de vol, mais maintenait une communication radio avec le centre régional de contrôle du trafic aérien.

    On January 26 a NATO Air Policing Detachment was alerted to identify and escort a Russian IL-20 flying through international airspace from mainland Russia to Kaliningrad. The onboard transponder was switched on, the IL-20 had no flight plan, but maintaned radio communication with the regional air traffic control centre.
