Epäillyn lennokin hylky löydetty läheltä Wunstorfin lentotukikohtaa

Saksan viranomaiset hälytettiin 14. syyskuuta 2026, kun osia ilmeisesti maahan syöksyneestä lennokista löydettiin asumattomalta alueelta Steinhuder Meeren itäpuolelta, läheltä Bundeswehrin Wunstorfin lentotukikohtaa, jossa sijaitsee Saksan A400M-sotilaskuljetuslaivue ja tärkeä Bundeswehrin logistiikkakeskus. Poliisi aloitti 15. syyskuuta laajan etsinnän ympäröivällä suoalueella löytääkseen lisää osia ja tunnistaakseen ilma-aluksen tai sen operaattorin. LKA:n alustavat lausunnot olivat varovaisia: hylkyä ei ollut löydetty itse sotilasalueelta, ja viranomaiset sanoivat, etteivät he vielä pystyneet määrittämään, oliko kyseessä yritys tarkkailla, laiton yksityislento vai muuntyyppinen tapaus.

German authorities were alerted on 14 September 2026 after parts of an apparently crashed drone were found in uninhabited terrain east of the Steinhuder Meer, close to the Bundeswehr’s Wunstorf Air Base, home to Germany’s A400M military transport fleet and an important Bundeswehr logistics hub. Police launched a large search of the surrounding moorland on 15 September to recover additional components and identify the aircraft or its operator. Initial LKA statements were cautious: the debris had not been found on the military installation itself, and authorities said they could not yet determine whether it represented attempted surveillance, an illicit private flight, or another type of incident.
