El 6 de septiembre de 2025, el propietario de un terreno agrícola cerca de Majdan-Sielec, en el este de Polonia, descubrió los restos de una aeronave no tripulada no identificada en un campo a unos 50 kilómetros de la frontera ucraniana y a unos 500 metros de los edificios más cercanos. La policía recibió el informe aproximadamente a las 17:40 y aseguró el lugar junto con personal militar. Los fiscales confirmaron posteriormente que los restos pertenecían a un dron construido en gran parte con un material similar a la espuma, que contenía componentes electrónicos conectados a un motor de combustión interna y llevaba inscripciones en cirílico. Los especialistas en explosivos no encontraron material explosivo, los investigadores no encontraron evidencia de una explosión en el lugar y nadie resultó herido. El propietario del terreno informó haber oído un ruido alrededor de las 02:00 de esa noche que creía podría haber estado asociado con el accidente de la aeronave.

On 6 September 2025, the owner of agricultural land near Majdan-Sielec in eastern Poland discovered wreckage of an unidentified unmanned aircraft in a field roughly 50 kilometres from the Ukrainian border and about 500 metres from the nearest buildings. Police received the report at approximately 17:40 and secured the site together with military personnel. Prosecutors later confirmed that the wreckage belonged to a drone constructed largely from a foam-like material, containing electronic components connected to an internal-combustion engine and bearing Cyrillic inscriptions. Explosive-ordnance specialists found no explosive material, investigators found no evidence of an explosion at the site, and no one was injured. The landowner reported hearing a noise at around 02:00 that night which he believed could have been associated with the aircraft’s crash.
