Multiple unidentified drones force repeated suspension of operations at Liège Airport.

View this signal on the map

On the evening of 4 November 2025, several unidentified drones were reported above or in the immediate vicinity of Liège Airport, a major European cargo hub. The alert began at approximately 20:00, shortly after drone activity had already forced Brussels Airport to suspend operations. Aircraft originally diverted from Brussels toward Liège then had to be redirected again as Liège itself stopped take-offs and landings. Airport spokesperson Christian Delcourt later stated that authorities had counted as many as six drones simultaneously at one point and described an extended sequence in which the objects repeatedly appeared and disappeared while air-traffic control and police attempted to track them. Local police deployed officers around the airport but did not identify a pilot or locate the drones on the ground.
