Unidentified drone recovered northeast of Cape Galata, Bulgaria.

On 26 August 2026, Bulgarian Navy personnel examined an unidentified drone floating approximately 2.6 nautical miles northeast of Cape Galata near Varna. The aircraft was partially submerged, with its nose and engine below the waterline and part of its tail remaining visible. Military divers inspected the object and found no explosive material. Due to deteriorating weather conditions, the Navy towed the aircraft to Varna Naval Base for further examination. Its origin and operator were not established.
