On 6 June 2024, on the first day of the European elections, a pro-kremlin hacker group called HackNet stated on their telegram channels that they have successfully targeted the Irish parliament, voter registration portal and trasportation networks. On the same day, Luxembourg and Netherlands were affected by the attack
