Three large unidentified drones conduct repeated overflights of Kleine-Brogel Air Base despite Belgian counter-drone measures.

View this signal on the map

During the night of 1–2 November 2025, Belgian security personnel detected three unidentified drones of a larger type flying at comparatively high altitude above Kleine-Brogel Air Base. Defence Minister Theo Francken said the activity was not consistent with an accidental or ordinary recreational overflight and described it as a deliberate operation focused on the military installation. Belgian forces attempted to interfere with the aircraft using a drone-gun jammer, but the system failed to disrupt their control links. Police vehicles and a helicopter were subsequently deployed to track at least one of the drones, following it for several kilometres before losing contact.
