Second possible drone sighting reported near Kårstø gas processing plant in Norway.
On 15 October 2022, Norwegian police were again contacted after the Home Guard reported a possible drone observation near the Kårstø gas processing plant in northern Rogaland. The report triggered a response by several armed police patrols. This was described by Norwegian media as a new possible drone sighting at the same strategic gas facility, only days after the earlier 13 October alert. The incident occurred during a period of heightened Norwegian concern over suspicious drone activity near oil, gas and electricity infrastructure. However, public reporting did not identify the drone, the operator or any state actor behind the observation.
