Brandstiftelse ødelagde lager for droneteknologi i Pardubice, Tjekkiet

On 20 March 2026, a deliberately set fire severely damaged a warehouse and associated facilities used by Czech defence technology company LPP Holding in the Pardubičky district of Pardubice. The company develops autonomous unmanned systems and supports production of equipment supplied to Ukraine, including drone and thermal imaging technologies. Firefighters responded to the blaze early in the morning, and no injuries were reported. Czech police and counterterrorism investigators examined the incident as a suspected terrorist attack. A previously unknown organisation calling itself Earthquake Faction claimed responsibility, stating that it had targeted alleged Israeli defence manufacturing activities. LPP Holding disputed the claim that the planned production partnership with Israeli company Elbit Systems had materialised. Several suspects were detained in Czechia and neighbouring countries during the subsequent investigation. Although the company supports Ukraine’s military, investigators had not established that the attack was directed by Russian intelligence services.
